'Holding all my pieces together'

Painted in 2024 for my first NZ Art show collection.
 
This piece part of my ongoing Posy Collection, where the beauty of flowers takes center stage.
In this series, the faces of the subjects are always concealed. The focus is on the flowers and the heartfelt act of giving and receiving blooms, rather than the individuals themselves.
Each painting captures the timeless elegance of flowers, celebrating their role in our most cherished moments and emotions. 
 
This piece in particular, is very special to me - probably my favorite piece in my NZ Art show collection.
I started painting it the morning my daughter went off for her first day of primary school. There were a lot of mixed emotions, and I wanted to capture this in a strong, but loving piece.
 
Painted using Winsor & Newton Professional acrylics on wobbly round boxed board.
The boards are made by the talented Wallace Studio in Wellington, NZ.
 
It measures approx. (due to wobblyness) 600mm x 600mm.
It is 4cm thick, and has been coated in a UV protective varnish.
 
It will arrive to you ready to hang or gift to a loved one, and last a lifetime.
